Biarritz Surf Training

Biarritz Surf Training operates a surf school at Côte des Basques beach in Biarritz, France, offering collective and individual lessons lasting 1.5 hours for all levels from beginner to advanced. Groups are capped at 8 people maximum per state-qualified instructor and lifeguard. Equipment is provided, including surfboards ranging from 5' to 9' and seasonal wetsuits; the school works with Sooruz and disinfects all wetsuits daily. Lesson times depend on tidal conditions and are confirmed the day before. The school also rents surfboards and wetsuits separately for experienced surfers who do not wish to take lessons. Biarritz Surf Training additionally offers group bookings for school trips, corporate events, and private events, with privatised instructor options available. The school operates April to November; it is closed December to March. Reception takes place at the beach hut on Côte des Basques, where changing facilities and showers are available; arrivals should be 15 minutes early. A separate entity, Biarritz Surf Lodge, offers private studio and apartment accommodation for 2–4 people from age 18 upwards, with optional surf lessons. A membership scheme (Formule Club) is available for annual subscribers, comprising ten 1.5-hour weekly lessons over a trimester outside July and August.
