Getaround operates a peer-to-peer car sharing service across Spain, offering rentals from private owners and professional rental companies. Renters can choose from various vehicle types including compact cars, vans, family vehicles, SUVs, minibuses, campers, and classic cars. The service is available in major cities including Barcelona, Madrid, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, Granada, Burgos, and Zaragoza, as well as at airports and train stations.

The rental process operates through a mobile app. Renters select and book a vehicle, complete profile verification using a photo of their ID and driving license, and then unlock the car directly from the app using Getaround Connect technology. All rentals include full comprehensive insurance from Allianz and roadside assistance. Each day comes with 200 km of mileage included, with optional higher mileage packages available. Vehicles are returned to their original pickup location with the same fuel level.

Pricing is available on an hourly or daily basis, with the site stating that rates are approximately 30% lower than traditional rental agencies. Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the rental date. Vehicle owners can also list their cars to earn income, with the site indicating potential earnings of 330–420 euros monthly for urban vehicles depending on location and rental period. The platform operates across several European countries beyond Spain, including France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.
