Istion Yachting has operated yacht charters since 1992, beginning on the island of Kos and expanding to operate from 11 bases in Greece (Athens, Lavrion, Corfu, Lefkas, Preveza, Kos, Rhodes, Volos, Skiathos, Mykonos, Paros) and one base in Skradin, Croatia. The company rents sailing yachts, catamarans, and motor yachts suitable for groups of 4 to 12 people.

Customers can choose between three charter styles. Bareboat charters require at least one licensed skipper and experienced crew member in the group, with pricing starting from around €937 per week for smaller vessels in low season to €10,000+ for larger yachts in high season. Skippered charters include a professional captain who handles navigation and docking while guests participate in sailing, with briefings before departure to discuss the area and potential itineraries. Fully crewed charters on motor yachts and larger catamarans provide all-inclusive service with meals and hospitality included.

Fleet options range from three-cabin sailing yachts accommodating six guests to six-cabin vessels for twelve. Catamarans offer stability and space with separate cabins on either hull, while motor yachts prioritize speed and luxury. Sailing conditions vary by region: the Saronic Gulf near Athens suits beginners with calm conditions; the Cyclades present challenging Meltemi winds in July and August best for experienced sailors; the Ionian offers greener scenery and milder conditions; the Dodecanese around Kos and Rhodes feature mild year-round winds; and the Sporades offer short distances between islands. High season runs late June through August, with spring (May-June) and autumn (September-October) offering better weather and fewer crowds.
