Mobility Carsharing

Mobility is a Swiss cooperative offering hourly car sharing with flexible membership plans. Members reserve vehicles through a mobile app or online portal, unlock them using the app or a Mobility card, and pay per hour and kilometre. Fuel, insurance and maintenance are included in the rental cost. The company maintains 3,300 vehicles across more than 1,600 stations throughout Switzerland.

Three membership tiers are available. Mobility Easy has no monthly fee but charges CHF 2.50–5.00 per trip start plus hourly and kilometre rates. Mobility Plus costs CHF 9.90/month after a three-month trial (free for under-28s) and offers lower per-trip costs. Mobility Member requires a CHF 1,000 share purchase and charges no monthly fee. All vehicles must be returned to their original station and have fuel or charge level above one third at the end of rental. For longer journeys, day packages start from CHF 65.

Members can book through the Mobility app, the online customer portal, or by phone to the 24-hour service centre. Accounts activate within one working day for most users. Users must hold a valid driving licence and be registered with Mobility to drive any reserved vehicle. Insurance coverage includes liability, comprehensive, and passenger protection, with optional liability reduction available. The network includes daily packages and reduced rates for members with the Mobility Plus or Member plans.
