Thrifty Car Rental operates more than 400 car rental locations across Europe, with branches at airports and in city neighbourhoods throughout France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and Belgium. The company provides a fleet of vehicles including mini, compact, intermediate, and SUV models, along with electric vehicles. Rental rates include free unlimited mileage.

To rent a car, you must present a valid driver's licence held for at least one year, an international driving permit if necessary, an original passport or ID card, and a credit card in your name for payment and security deposit. Drivers must be at least 25 years old, though younger drivers may be subject to a young driver surcharge. Reservations are made and paid for with a credit card, and the same card must be presented at pick-up.

Cars are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full; prepaying for fuel at the start is an option, though unused fuel will not be refunded. For prepaid reservations, cancellations made by midnight two days before pick-up qualify for a full refund, while pay-at-location reservations can be cancelled any time before pick-up without penalty. Late returns may incur additional fees depending on the location.
