Thrifty Spain

Thrifty operates a car rental service across Europe with locations in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Belgium. In Spain, the company has offices in major cities including Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia and Malaga, as well as at airports such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Alicante, and Jerez. The fleet includes mini, economy, compact, intermediate and van-type vehicles, with electric car options available.

To rent a car, you must present a valid driving licence held for at least one year, an international driving permit if required, an original passport or identity document, and a credit card in the driver's name. Drivers must be at least 25 years old; younger drivers incur a young driver surcharge. Reservations are made and paid for using a credit card, and the same card must be presented at pickup for the security deposit.

Cars are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full to avoid refuelling charges; alternatively you can prepay for fuel at pickup. Unlimited mileage is included at no extra cost. The rental period is flexible, from one day upwards. For prepaid bookings, cancellations made until two days before pickup are refunded; cancellations after that follow the stated cancellation policy. Pay-at-office bookings can be cancelled anytime before pickup without penalty. Late returns may incur additional fees depending on the office.
