Unicar Faroe

Unicar has operated car rentals in the Faroe Islands for over 30 years. The company offers a wide range of vehicles: compact cars (manual and automatic), midsize and fullsize cars, 7- and 9-seater vans, a fully equipped VW Grand California campervan, used outlet vehicles, and electric cars. All rentals include unlimited mileage across the islands.

Pickup locations are Vágar Airport, Tórshavn Harbour, Sørvágur Harbour, the Unicar Office in Miðvágur, and several hotels. Drop-off can be arranged at the same locations or delivered to most locations across the Faroe Islands with 48 hours' notice. The booking system allows flexible pickup and drop-off times from 06:00 to 23:00. A second driver is included at no extra cost.

All rentals include mandatory third-party liability insurance. Optional self-risk insurance costs 100 DKK per day, reducing liability from 7900 DKK to 2500 DKK per damage. Subsea tunnel tolls can be prepaid when booking or invoiced after rental. Cancellations made 14 days or more before rental start receive a full refund; 7-14 days before receives 70% refund; less than 7 days receives no refund.
