Bicimad Madrid

BiciMAD is Madrids public bike-sharing system with 7500+ electric bikes at 600+ stations across the city since 2014.

Bicimad is a public bike-sharing service in Madrid that rents electric bicycles through a network of docking stations. The system operates 8,385 electric bicycles across 683 stations covering 21 districts of Madrid, with expansion to Pozuelo de Alarcón. Users access the service by registering through the Bicimad app or the MPass account system, then unlock bikes by scanning a QR code on the app, entering the bike's number, or tapping a linked payment card at the station.

Rental is managed entirely through the Bicimad mobile app (available on Google Play and Apple App Store) or by card at the docking stations. The service offers different user types and tariff options, which can be reviewed on the main Bicimad section of the website. Bikes must be returned to any station in the network. Customer support is available by phone at 900 878 331 or through the app's suggestions feature. The service is operated by Madrid's municipal transport company (EMT) and has been partially funded by the European Union's Next Generation EU programme.
