Getaround Belgium

Getaround is a peer-to-peer car-sharing service available throughout Belgium. The platform offers access to cars listed by private owners and professional operators across multiple cities including Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp, Liège, Charleroi, Mechelen, and others. Rental cars include city cars, vans, family cars, SUVs, minibuses, and classic cars. Rentals are available by the hour or day, with pricing stated as 30% lower on average than traditional car rental companies.

The rental process operates through a mobile app. Users create a profile by submitting photos of their identity card and driving licence via smartphone. Bookings can be made on a last-minute basis. For vehicles equipped with Getaround Connect technology, renters unlock the car through the app and perform a vehicle inspection via the app, with keys left inside the vehicle. All rentals include 200 kilometres per day and comprehensive insurance provided by Allianz, valid 24/7. Optional kilometre packages are available for longer journeys. Renters must return the vehicle to the pickup location with the same fuel level. A 24/7 breakdown and towing service is included. Free cancellation is offered up to 48 hours before rental start. The platform also offers business rental services for commercial travel.
