GetAround operates a peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace across Germany, with cars available in major cities including Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Hamburg, Leipzig and Stuttgart, as well as at major airports and train stations. The platform allows customers to book vehicles online through a mobile app and unlock cars using the smartphone without meeting the owner. Rental periods are available by the hour or day. All bookings include Allianz insurance and 200 km daily, with optional mileage packages available. Fuel must be returned at the original level. The platform offers various vehicle types including small cars, vans, family cars, SUVs, minibuses, cabriolets, campers and classic cars from its network of both private and professional owners. GetAround also operates in Belgium, France, Austria, Spain and the UK. The platform claims pricing approximately 30 percent lower than traditional rental companies. Owners can list their own vehicles to earn rental income, with individual owners earning between 330 and 420 euros monthly for city cars depending on rental period and location.
