Homebox

Homebox operates over 170 self-storage centres in France and more than 200 across Europe, offering storage units ranging from 0.5 m² to over 50 m² depending on customer needs. The company serves both individuals (for moves, temporary storage, life events, renovations, student housing) and businesses (archives, merchandise, equipment, nautical storage, event materials, spare parts, and office space). Customers can rent units for periods from a few weeks to several years with no fixed-term commitment.

Access to most storage units is available seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. using a personal code provided at contract signing. Homebox equips facilities with 24/7 video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire detection systems, and climate-controlled ventilation. Each box is secured with a customer-supplied or customer-purchased padlock; Homebox staff do not have direct access to individual units.

Contracts are flexible with no termination fees and one month's notice required. Customers can change box size or relocate to a different centre at any time. Insurance is mandatory and can be purchased from Homebox or provided through personal coverage with valid attestation. A refundable deposit is returned within 30 days of contract end. Signing and payments can be arranged on-site or entirely online. Most centres offer one day's free use of a rental vehicle and can recommend vetted moving partners. Tariffs vary by centre, unit size, location, and service tier (Eco, Comfort, Premium), with free estimates available.
