Hyre operates a peer-to-peer car-sharing platform across five Norwegian cities: Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, and Haugesund. Customers download the mobile app, register via BankID, and can unlock vehicles with their phone to rent by the hour or day. The rental fleet includes compact cars such as the Toyota Aygo X (NOK 399/day), family cars like the Skoda Octavia (NOK 999/day), electric vehicles including a Renault 5 and Toyota bZ4X, and vans ranging from 3m³ to 6m³. All rentals include insurance and 150 kilometres per day; excess kilometres cost NOK 3 each, with tolls and fuel or charging added separately.

Hyre operates 24/7 with no queue times or staff required. Costs are automatically calculated when the rental ends and displayed in the app in real time. The company also offers Hyre Pass, a subscription starting at NOK 99 per month providing up to 38 per cent discount on rental rates, and Mobilitetsplan for businesses at NOK 6,490 per month, allowing multiple vehicles on simultaneous rental. Airport locations operate at Oslo, Bergen, and Trondheim Lufthavn.
