Users can pick up vehicles from various locations including homes, train stations, and airports. Bookings are made through the app, and vehicles with Getaround Connect technology unlock remotely—the keys are left inside so renters can begin immediately without visiting an office. Rental periods range from hourly or daily rates up to 90-day long-term rentals. All rentals include comprehensive insurance from If Skadeforsikring and 200 km per day; additional kilometre packages are available. Renters can return the vehicle to the same location where it was collected. The platform offers various vehicle types including city cars, SUVs, vans, minibuses, and camper vans. Cancellations are free up to 48 hours before the rental start date. Getaround also enables car owners to earn money by listing their vehicles on the platform.
