Natural Surf School

Natural Surf School operates from Plage des Casernes in Seignosse, in the Landes region of southwestern France. The school, established in 2005, offers single lessons, three- or five-day surf courses, and individual coaching through its Natural Surf Lab programme to beginners and experienced surfers. It also rents surfboards and wetsuits through its Surf Test Center, which maintains over 150 boards ranging from foam boards for beginners to performance models. Children from age 5 can attend lessons.

Courses take place at Plage des Casernes, considered a quieter and more natural beach requiring a walk to reach. All courses include equipment—wetsuits in sizes 3/2 to 4/3 plus thermal boots and hoods for colder months, and foam or performance boards matched to the surfer's level. A free car park is available at the base of the beach access. The school operates seasonally from April to November; during colder months (water temperature 10–12°C), thermal gear is provided but lessons are less frequent. Lesson times vary based on tides and ocean conditions; students are notified in advance and asked to arrive 15–30 minutes early.

The school also runs the Natural Surf Lab, a coaching and performance concept for intermediate to advanced surfers seeking medium- or long-term progression through video and water coaching. In addition to rentals, visitors can order custom boards made by a local shaper, Surf Odyssey. The school holds the EFS label from the French Surf Federation (since 2006) and the national Qualité Tourisme™ mark (since 2013).
