WienMobil Rad is Vienna's bike-sharing system, operated by Wiener Linien. Users download the nextbike app to locate and book bicycles from one of many stations scattered across Vienna. The fleet includes standard bicycles with options like child seats, and e-bikes with 3-speed gears. Rental is charged at 0.80 euros per 30 minutes for standard bikes (with a 20-euro daily cap) or 3.30 euros per 30 minutes for e-bikes (40-euro daily cap). Customers holding Vienna public transport passes (Jahreskarte, Jugendticket, or KlimaTicket) qualify for a discounted rate of 0.37 euros per 30 minutes for standard bikes and 2.30 euros for e-bikes, with lower daily caps of 10 and 40 euros respectively. Bikes are unlocked by scanning their QR code with the app and returned to any marked WienMobil station by locking the frame lock; returning bikes outside designated stations incurs a 20-euro service fee. Annual memberships are also available: standard annual passes at 63 euros provide the first 30 minutes free per ride, while discounted annual passes for transit pass holders cost 31.50 euros with the same benefit.
