Blue-bike

Blue-bike offers bike rental at Belgian train stations integrated with public transport.

Blue-bike is a bike-sharing system operating over 300 locations throughout Belgium, including stations, bus stops, park and rides, and other transport hubs. The fleet comprises more than 4,000 bikes: standard city bikes, electric bikes, and cargo bikes for deliveries or family transport. Bikes are unlocked and rented through a mobile app; rental requires a free account and takes about 10 seconds from app unlock to departure. Users choose between three pricing models: Ticket (pay per ride from €1 per 30 minutes, capped at €6 for 12 hours for city bikes); Member (€12 per year, offering half-price rides capped at €3.50 for 12 hours); and Member Plus (€35 per month with unlimited rides up to 12 hours on city bikes). E-bikes and cargo bikes are available at select locations and cost more per hour. The company was founded in 2011. In most locations users must return bikes to their starting point, though in certain 'back-to-many' zones covering Ghent, Leuven, and Brussels Airport, bikes can be left at any location in the same zone without extra charge. Blue-bike also offers corporate solutions with master and sub-accounts for businesses.
