FNCUMA — Fédération Nationale des CUMA

FNCUMA is the National French CUMA Federation since 1945 with 11500 cooperatives and 199000 farmer members representing 50% of French farms.

FNCuma is the national federation of Cuma, which are farmer-owned cooperatives formed nearly 80 years ago to share agricultural machinery and equipment costs. The cooperatives pool resources to own and operate tractors, harvesting equipment, and other agricultural machinery that member farmers can access as needed. Membership is voluntary and members participate in the governance of their local Cuma. The network spans across France through regional and departmental federated bodies, with members able to locate their local Cuma through the online directory by department. Beyond equipment sharing, Cuma also addresses agricultural challenges including farm succession and installation, energy use, agroecological transition, and skilled employment in agricultural mechanics and management. The federation provides its member cooperatives with tools including accounting software (myCuma Infinity), equipment booking systems (myCumaPlanning), work management systems, and strategic consulting services.
